CLS February 2020 Meeting
Chuck Bremer presents "Livebearers I have Known"
Chuck began keeping fish in livestock watering tanks while growing up on the farm. Since then he has observed only brief respites from keeping fish and has applied to that what was learned in various experiences. Having spent most of his working live as an Agronomist, a focus is also on growing plants. Chuck has maintained fish rooms on two continents but only become a member of the organized hobby recently, joining the Missouri Aquarium Society after retirement and now serving as their newsletter editor.
As a participant in MASI's BAP program, his spawns have included eight families including over 50 species of Livebearers. He has attained the level of Advanced Grand Master Breeder and also Breeder of the Year and CARES Breeder of the Year. Chuck is a frequent attendee of CLS meetings and a member of the American Livebearer Association.
"The talk will be a round up of livebearers I have spawned with a bit about their origin and my difficulties and spawning techniques, etc. It will contain videos of most of them. Depending on time there will be some from four families: Poecilidae, Goodidae, Anablepidae and Hemiramphidae.
